I hear tell that Scarborough cast is doing a Customs and Manners class at their fair. It is on Sat. and Sunday at 11:30 at the front gate, or so rumor has it. They are being specific to their cast (for example, they will point to the cast member and explain proper custom and etiquette when dealing with her/him) but I imagine it will be informative for anyone.
Too bad I can't make it to Scarby. :( It's too far, and no onsite camping makes for an expensive trip.
I've seen all the shows so many times. So this year I've vowed to drink more, and watch shows less. The ones I cannot sacrifice are Iris and Rose (their last performance of the day is my own personal tradition) Sound and Fury, The Joust, and Arsene. When I bring Ainsley and my nephews Ian and Zaron this year, probably on Fantasy Weekend, we will probably see The Art of Defense, Ded Bob, The Sturdy Beggars, and The Other Brothers (I dunno why they changed their name a couple years back. I guess since they are primarily marketing a comedy show image outside of the renfest market now). And of course the boys will want to see any and all performances of the knights/jousting at The Arena.
Okay, I have to know...how in the world did you manage to successfully camp with a one year old? Was he cranky when he woke up? Did you bring him inside in a stroller/wagon? And how the hell do you control two children and assure that they don't run off, get lost, or break anything??? Yes I know, I'm all full of questions. =)
I used to camp out all the time; then when the kiddos were born I've only managed to drive down there for a day. This year though, I reeeeaally want to camp out again (naturally, I'm sure the kids would be with me). How old was yours when he started camping?
Moo!
